It's often said, it’s in the Caribbean that the UK’s frozen pension policy is most vulnerable. Click here to read this recent article from the Sunday Express that tells the story. And click here to see a more recent article on the same subject in The Guardian

The campaign in Westminster continues despite COVID19 and Brexit chaos. See our Campaign Update, July 2020, and June 2020, compiled by Tendo Consulting, under News and Reports/Pensions in the Media

BPiA is an incorporated non profit volunteer association and a founder member of the International Consortium of British Pensioners (ICBP).

BPiA represents Australian resident UK state pensioners who have paid into the mandatory UK National Insurance scheme in their working lives.

BPiA's primary mission is to force the UK Government to treat us fairly, equally and without discrimination, by recognising our right to parity with UK and many other international pensioners and annually indexing the UK pension to which we are entitled. See Pension Policies & Judgments for a full background explanation.

Have you ever worked in the UK?

BPiA will assist you to:

  • Discover whether you are entitled to the UK State pension, and if so, which one, depending on your date of birth
  • Determine whether you can make further voluntary contributions, Class 2 or Class 3, to make up any shortfall in the level of National Insurance (NI) contributions already achieved
  • Apply for a UK pension when you reach pension age or apply for a UK State pension if your application for it has been deferred beyond pension age.
  • Determine whether your spouse may also be entitled to some UK pension.
  • Apply for your UK pension to be uprated when traveling to some countries in which UK State pension uprating applies.
  • Apply for help to recover any private or public service pensions to which you might have contributed when working in the UK.
  • Understand the implication of Australian income tax on UK State pensions.
  • Book a hire car, if traveling overseas.
